Project Genesis
Version {version} · released {published}

The DAW with an AI copilot built into it.

Write, arrange, mix and master — by hand, by asking, or both at once. Every note the AI writes lands in a piano roll you can edit. Nothing is locked away behind a prompt.

What's inside

A full studio, not a toy

Genesis borrows the parts of Ableton, FL Studio, Logic and Pro Tools that matter, and puts an AI next to them instead of in front of them.

🎹

Piano roll that behaves

Draw, drag, stretch. Multi-select, copy, paste, duplicate a bar with one key. Velocity by Alt-dragging, shown as brightness so you can read dynamics at a glance.

🧩

Patterns and a playlist

Write a loop once, place it anywhere. Change the pattern and every copy of it changes. That is how four bars becomes three minutes.

🤖

AI that writes and explains

Gemini, Claude or ChatGPT — or a model that runs entirely offline on your own machine, with no account and no internet.

🎛️

Sound design in plain English

"Make the bass darker and slower to open." The AI moves the actual plugin parameters — the same knobs you'd turn yourself.

🥁

Drums and samplers

A step sequencer, a sampler that plays any audio file you give it, and a drum kit you can build from your own one-shots.

🎚️

Mixer with real effects

Nine effects per channel plus the master bus — EQ, compression, reverb, delay and more. Drive them by hand or ask for a mix.

🔌

Your VST3 plugins

Loads the instruments already on your machine and opens their own editor windows, exactly as any other DAW does.

🎙️

Record anything

A MIDI controller, your computer keyboard, or a microphone. Quantise it or keep your timing, mistakes and all.

📚

It teaches as you go

Ask why a chord works or what a compressor does and get an answer in the app, in words that assume nothing.

You are always holding the controls. Anything the AI does, you can do by hand — and anything it makes, you can edit note by note. It is a session player, not a black box.

Getting started

Three steps

No installer wizard, no account, no licence server.

Download and unzip

Put the folder anywhere you like — your Desktop is fine.

Run MainInstall.bat

It sets up everything Genesis needs. Once, and it takes a few minutes.

Run Start.bat

That's it. Press F1 inside Genesis for the guide, or open GUIDE.html for the illustrated version.

🔄
It keeps itself up to date. After the first install Genesis checks for new versions, downloads them in the background while you work, and installs them when you close it. It never installs over unsaved work.
